All participants are required to sign attendance rosters at the beginning of each day. A certificate of completion will be provided to all activity participants based on documentation of actual attendance time, meeting minimum attendance requirements specific to the activity, and payment in full. If you are not paid in full, your certificate will be mailed to you upon receipt of payment.
Nurses: The University of Kansas Medical Center Area Health Education Center–East, as an approved provider of continuing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing, presents this offering for a maximum of 11.8 contact hours of continuing education credit applicable for re-licensure of RNs, LPNs and LMHTs, Kansas Provider Number LT0056-0749. Credit will be prorated based upon attendance.
Physicians: The KU Medical Center Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The KU Medical Center Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CDR Dietitian Credit: This course is approved for a maximum of 10.0 hours at CPEU Level 2 for Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the American Dietetic Association. Attendees should claim only the hours that they actually spent in the educational activity.
KDHE Dietitian Credit : This course is approved for a maximum of 11.5 CE Clock Hours for Dietitians by the Health Occupations Credentialing Office of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Attendees should claim only the hours that they actually spent in the educational activity.
Certified Diabetes Educators: To satisfy the requirement for renewal of certification by continuing education for the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE), continuing education activities must be applicable to diabetes and approved by a provider on the NCBDE List of Recognized Providers (www.ncbde.org). NCBDE does not approve continuing education. The KU Medical Center Office of Continuing Medical Education is on the NCBDE List of Recognized Providers".
Physical Therapists: This course has been approved for 9.8 CEUs by the Kansas Physical Therapy Association (KTPA)
Performance Improvement: The American Medical Association has endorsed PI activities as a means for physicians to improve their practices and has awarded up to 20 Category-1 credits to those learners who complete all three phases of any PI activity. Enrollment in a PI activity will be open to learners at this conference without additional cost.
