A special course for candidates for advanced degrees designed to aid them in obtaining a reading knowledge of Spanish. Intensive study of the fundamentals of grammar, proceeding to the reading of materials of medium difficulty. Open to graduate students and to seniors who are applying for entrance to a graduate school. The course does not satisfy any part of the undergraduate language requirement. This course is primarily for graduate students who are fulfilling their language requirement(s) for advanced degrees. Nine written assignments; two midcourse examinations; final examination.
