Sarah L. Young is a lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Kansas and an adjunct assistant professor of English at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. She teaches classes in composition, literature, and critical thinking. She earned her BA Summa Cum Laude in English and German from Baker University, and her MA and PhD in English from the University of Kansas. Her research interests include early twentieth-century America authors, women's travel narratives, and the work of Willa Cather. She is the author of several entries in the Encyclopedia of Stage Plays to Film and numerous reviews of musical and theatre events. She is an active stage performer in concert, musical theatre, and opera and sings with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus.
