For more than a century, KU’s Independent Study program has provided educational opportunities convenient for students. Our courses are open to any student who wishes to engage in this method of study, and our courses are available in a variety of delivery methods. It’s a great way to get a head start on college, gain the confidence to complete a degree, update knowledge in your profession, or solve a scheduling problem. Independent Study courses are approved for undergraduate and graduate KU credit and for professionals who wish to further their education.
