Air Management: The Point of No Return

This dynamic, innovative presentation is transforming the way the National Fire Service views air management, tactical safety, and firefighter survival. Utilizing an interactive workbook, dramatic audio/video, stimulating discussions, and everyday scenarios, we create a synergistic learning experience where students lead as well as learn. At the center is "The Need, the Mandate, and the Solution," which provides students with practical information along with time-tested, hands-on training drills to take back to their departments.

About the Instructors

Steve Bernocco is a 17-year veteran of the Seattle Fire Department, where he is a lieutenant on Ladder 10. He has served as a training officer and is currently a member of the SFD’s Operational Skills Enhancement Development Team. Lieutenant Bernocco has written numerous articles and teaches across the country on the topics of air management, firefighter safety and survival, and fireground strategy and tactics with the "Seattle Guys." He is a co-author of the book,Air Management for the Fire Service, and numerous articles in fire service publications.

Mike Gagliano has 22 years of fire/crash/rescue experience with the Seattle Fire Department and the United States Air Force. He currently serves as the captain of training and is a member of the Seattle Fire Department Operational Skills Enhancement Development Team. Captain Gagliano teaches across the country on air management, firefighter safety, and fireground strategy and tactics. He is a member of the FDIC Associate Advisory Board and, along with the other "Seattle Guys," is co-author of the book,Air Management for the Fire Service. He has written numerous articles forFire Engineering Magazin e and is on the Board of Directors for the Cyanide Poisoning Treatment Coalition.
