KU Aerospace Short Courses Locations

All courses will be held at the Doubletree Resort Orlando – International Drive, 10100 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32821.

Lodging and transportation costs are not included in the course fee. You are responsible for making your own arrangements. Attendees from foreign countries should visit Visa Information Link for visa information.

A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Doubletree Resort Orlando–International Drive (formerly known as the International Plaza Resort) for course attendees. The rate is the prevailing U.S. federal government per diem (currently $108) for a standard single/double room plus applicable state and local occupancy taxes. These rooms will be held as a block, unless depleted, until October 12, 2010, at which time they will be released to the public. After October 12, room rate and availability cannot be guaranteed. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card, guest check or money order. To ensure that you get all the benefits available to our group including free internet in the guest room and free parking, make sure you or your travel agent book your hotel room in the University of Kansas Aerospace Short Course room block. The Orlando International Airport (ORL) is 13 miles (20.9 km) from the Doubletree Resort Orlando–International Drive. There are several transportation options available at Airport Transportation Options.

Listed here are two airport shuttle options:

• OrlandoFREEAirportToHotelShuttle.com provides round trip transportation between the Orlando International Airport and the hotel for $23. (Shuttle fees are subject to change.) Reservations are required and can be made on-line at www.orlandofreeshuttle.com or call 866-219-3733 (toll-free in the United States). This service does not take walk-ups. Shuttle hours are approximately 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Mears Transportation provides 24-hour shuttle service for $18 one-way or $29 round trip. (Shuttle fees are subject to change.) Reservations can be made online at http://www.mearstransportation.com/. Walk up service is available at the Mears Transportation kiosk on Level One of the airport (follow signs to Ground Transportation).
